About:

Hi! I'm K (they/them) !

I am a freelance creative from Aberdeen, Scotland, specialising in live music photography, videography, and content creation. As a queer person, I want to make sure that everyone feels respected and valued in the vibrant world of music and art by highlighting under-represented groups and ensuring that everyone has a voice and is heard to their full potential!

I have photographed bands at various venues, from local pubs to large-scale arenas like OVO Hydro. I also work closely with artists and bands to provide live coverage, press artwork, behind-the-scenes content, and promotional materials to help them build their brand and connect with their audience on a deeper level.

With several years of experience in graphic design, I focus on high-contrast colour grading to amplify the energy and emotion of each shot. My bold, signature style is characterised by vibrant colours and lens prisms, which helps set my work apart in the industry and adds my own creative flair.

Features & Clients:

My work has been featured in a variety of respected publications and platforms, such as the Press & Journal, Evening Express, Northern Exposure Magazine, The Songbird HQ, Discovery Music Scotland, and also on the Instagram accounts of renowned labels Polydor and Matador Records. These opportunities have allowed me to reach a much wider audience and showcase my unique perspective on the vibrant world of live music and performance.

I've had the honour of working 1-on-1 with several amazing musicians, such as New Hope Club, CXLOE, Neave Marr, Rose Gray, AZIYA, and Mercer Henderson. Each artist I work with has their own special story, and it's my job to capture that in the best way. Their unique personalities and creative energy are my main source of inspiration, and if they're happy, I'm happy!

My true passion in photography lies in storytelling and self-expression and building trusting, close relationships with those I work with, ensuring everybody is comfortable and on board with the ideas, and allowing them to express themselves as much as they can with no fear of judgement!

I am also currently undertaking my second year of an HND (Higher National Diploma) in Photography and will be graduating in summer 2025!
